The obvious alternative often doesn't exist

Adding a LoRaWAN radio module directly to each meter sounds simple. But for most meters in the field, that module simply isn't available.

Yes. The converter communicates over the LoRaWAN network, so you need either your own LoRaWAN gateway or existing public LoRaWAN coverage at the installation site.

You can install a private LoRaWAN gateway or use an external antenna to improve signal quality. The converter is suitable for both public and private LoRaWAN deployments.

The converter supports standard wired M-Bus meters compliant with EN 13757, including heat, water, electricity and gas meters from many manufacturers.

Yes. Sample units are available for testing, pilot projects and integration validation before larger deployments.

No dedicated software is required. The converter transmits standard M-Bus data via LoRaWAN and can integrate with compatible LoRaWAN platforms, parsers and cloud systems.

Battery life depends on transmission frequency, connected meters and network conditions, but battery-powered variants are designed for multi-year operation.
