Automatic energy readings without replacing meters

Accurate data. Simple, reliable, and cost-efficient.

Managing energy in apartment buildings can be challenging, especially in older properties with mixed meter brands, no unified IT system, and growing pressure from European legislation such as the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED).

The challenges for building administrators

Requirement for monthly meter readings under the EED / EnEfG directives
Combination of legacy and modern meters without a unified communication interface
Costly and time-consuming manual readings
Multiple communication protocols (M-Bus, wM-Bus, proprietary formats)
Need to export data to billing or accounting systems
Limited or missing connectivity in technical rooms or basements

Our solution

ACRIOS enables meter reading digitalization without meter replacement. M-Bus and wM-Bus converters read data from water meters, heat meters, and heat cost allocators, transmitting it to a central system via NB-IoT or LoRaWAN.

The solution is fully compliant with the requirements of the EED directive (EU 2018/2002) and its German implementation EnEfG, enabling property managers to automatically provide monthly consumption reports to tenants.

Devices operate on battery power with a lifetime of up to 10 years, carry an IP67 rating, and require no electrical installation. Open protocols and detailed documentation ensure straightforward integration.

For customers requiring a complete end-to-end solution, ACRIOS also offers its own backend for unit management, consumption data overview, and data export.

What you gain

Stress-free compliance means meeting EED requirements for monthly tenant reports through automatic data collection, while staying prepared for inspections and future directives such as EPBD. To address the complexity of technologies like LoRaWAN or NB-IoT, expert consultations help define the right technical approach, specifications, and supplier requirements, ensuring a solution that works in practice.

Works with your existing meters

Compatible with Apator, Metra, Sontex, Itron, Sensus, Techem and more – even models from 2007, if transmitting via wM-Bus.

Quick installation

One unit covers 4–6 floors. Drill, mount, power on – done in under 10 minutes.

10+ years battery life

Delivered with built-in battery and SIM card. No wiring required. IP67 casing ensures reliability even in basements or technical rooms.

Effortless EED compliance

Monthly tenant reporting is mandatory. Our devices collect data and export directly to Excel or accounting systems.

Flexible integration

Already have a system? Connect via JSON, CSV or API endpoint. Need one? We’ll recommend a dashboard.
