Water utilities are moving from walk by reading to fixed networks, whether LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, FlexNet or Mioty. No regulation forces this on water, but the economics already make sense on their own. Whatever network you pick, 15 to 20 percent of meters stay out of reach, usually the ones in pits and basements where the signal can't get out. That's where our wM-Bus bridge comes in.
